Tell us about your job role and the kinds of projects you work on;

I’m a picture editor and I work mostly on television and film. My recent credits are: Rutherford Falls (starring Ed Helms), Sugar Daddy, and #blackAF

What does an average day look like in your post-production working world?

My day starts by receiving dailies from my assistant and watching the footage and really studying and assessing what shots I have for the scene and think about the challenges as well as take notes of what my favourite takes are and moments. Then finally I start forming a scene together and constantly fine-tuning till in my gut I feel happy with it. Or it could be working with a showrunner or director on zoom.

How did your career in post-production begin?

I actually wanted to be a cinematographer when I first started in film school but then I took an editing course in my first year of college I was hooked and knew this is something I wanted to pursue.

Tell us about a career highlight;

When The New Romantic won an award at SXSW, a special jury award, and actually going to SXSW festival, it was so much fun.

Which women in post do you admire?

Thelma Schoonmaker she is a badass editor haha!

What advice do you have for other women wanting to start a career in post?

Tell us about your favourite pieces of your work;
